Michel Piare, our Head Sushi Chef and Proprietor, hand selects all the fresh fish and ingredients for Michie Sushi. Together with partner Anna van Exel, his twin brother Mike and exclusive taste testers Rosalie and Sara Piare, they run the Michie team. We at Michie look forward to welcoming you through our doors to experience the finest sushi and Japansese-style hot food that Dublin has to offer. We remain a popular lunch spot and our Eat-In and Takeaway specials are very popular. We open until 10pm daily and are a wonderful spot for a casual meal.

Michie Sushi started as a small Take Away and Catering shop down at the bottom of Chelmsford Lane, Ranelagh in 2007. We added Deliveries and a Restaurant to our Ranelagh Branch. Over the years, our brand has grown, we opened a restaurant in Dun Laoghaire and another one in Sandyford. We have also teamed up with Avoca and have two sushi bars; one in Avoca Rathcoole and one in Avoca Kilmacanogue. Despite this rapid growth, we are still a family run restaurant at heart. The word “Michie” means “filled with smiles and laughter” in Japanese. Michel chose this name as it resembles his own and has a wonderful meaning.
